Business opportunities take place virtually and in person during the largest chocolate and cocoa festival in Latin America in Ilhéus (BA)

Organized by the National Confederation of Industry (CNI) and the Federation of Industries of Bahia ( FIEB ), the meeting takes place between July 20th and 23rd, at the Convention Center in Ilhéus (BA), during the biggest chocolate and cocoa event in Latin America, Festival Chocolat .
In 2022, the initiative brought together 36 Brazilian companies and transacted more than R$ 3 million in business.
Held in partnership with the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency ( APEX-Brasil ), the event is aimed not only at cocoa and derivatives producers, but also coffee, fruit, honey, cereals and beverages to give visibility to the origin of the items. . Throughout the week, subscribers will participate in face-to-face and virtual business roundtables with international buyers, exhibition and tasting of products, seminars and courses.
Brazil is the seventh largest cocoa producer in the world, with 265,000 tons produced in 2021, according to Banco do Nordeste. The Northeast region occupies 69.7% of the national area, but the North is the leader in national production (53.2%). Bahia is the only producing state in the Northeast, occupying an area of 403 thousand hectares, with 111.4 thousand tons.
